TCUR×(i)\mathit{TCUR}\mathit{^{\times}}(i)
×{sgl,sum}\mathit{\times} \in \{\mathit{sgl}, \mathit{sum}\}
Dimension:
Cost
Granularity:
Activity instance

Description

Ratio between the total cost associated with an activity instance and the outcome units associated with an activity instance.

Potential use

Event log in which the total cost in relation to the outcome units of activity instances is of relevance.

Assumptions

Ratio between total cost and outcome unit count should be as close to 0 as possible.

Equations

Formula for practitioners

TC(i)U(i)\frac{\mathit{TC}(i)}{\mathit{U}(i)}

TC(i)\mathit{TC}(i) returns the total cost of activity instance ii.
U(i)\mathit{U}(i) returns the outcome unit count of activity instance ii.

Formal Definition

TC×(i)U×(i)\frac{\mathit{TC}\mathit{^{\times}}(i)}{\mathit{U}\mathit{^{\times}}(i)}
The ×\mathit{\times} indicates that the PPI can take multiple forms, in this case, ×{sgl,sum}\mathit{\times} \in \{\mathit{sgl}, \mathit{sum}\}. If ×=sgl\mathit{\times} = \mathit{sgl}, then the function considers single events of activity instances for cost and outcome unit calculations, i.e., it uses TCsgl\mathit{TC}\mathit{^{sgl}} and Usgl\mathit{U}\mathit{^{sgl}}; if ×=sum\mathit{\times} = \mathit{sum}, then the function considers the sum of all events of activity instances for cost and outcome unit calculations, i.e., it uses TCsum\mathit{TC}\mathit{^{sum}} and Usum\mathit{U}\mathit{^{sum}}.
