TCLTR×(a)\mathit{TCLTR}\mathit{^{\times}}(a)
×{sgl,sum}\mathit{\times} \in \{\mathit{sgl}, \mathit{sum}\}
Dimension:
Cost
Granularity:
Activity

Description

Ratio between the total cost associated with all instantiations of an activity in the event log, and the sum of lead time for all instantiations of an activity in the event log.

Potential use

Event log in which the total cost in relation to the total time taken for conducting activity instances is of relevance.

Assumptions

Ratio between total cost and lead time should be as close to 0 as possible.

Desired Value:

MINIMIZE

Equations

Formula for practitioners

TC(a)LT(a)\frac{\mathit{TC}(a)}{\mathit{LT}(a)}

TC(a)\mathit{TC}(a) returns the total cost of activity aa.
LT(a)\mathit{LT}(a) returns the total lead time of activity aa.

Formal Definition

TC×(a)LT(a)\frac{\mathit{TC}\mathit{^{\times}}(a)}{\mathit{LT}(a)}
The ×\mathit{\times} indicates that the PPI can take multiple forms, in this case, ×{sgl,sum}\mathit{\times} \in \{\mathit{sgl}, \mathit{sum}\}. If ×=sgl\mathit{\times} = \mathit{sgl}, then the function considers single events of activity instances for cost calculations, i.e., it uses TCsgl\mathit{TC}\mathit{^{sgl}}; if ×=sum\mathit{\times} = \mathit{sum}, then the function considers the sum of all events of activity instances for cost calculations, i.e., it uses TCsum\mathit{TC}\mathit{^{sum}}.
